A Creative, explorative, movement, and dance workshop
Moving Stories is both a FRONTLINEdance MONTHLY community performance company who meet face to face, and a WEEKLY creative, expressive, explorative, movement and dance ONLINE ZOOM session. Both are aimed at the over 55’s though all ages are welcome! Suitable for all ability and experience levels, and of course like all our work, they are inclusive.
In Person Sessions
These sessions will usually see you co-creating themed based contemporary dance work with FRONTLINEdance’s Artistic Director, which are then ‘site-specifically’ performed. To date the group have performed at a number of local events and festivals including the Dignity Awards at NUL College, all the New Vic Theatre Live Age Festivals, and the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery. From September 2021, we will be exploring creating dance work for camera!
These sessions are usually held at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery. However FRONTLINEdance is finding alternate space whilst the building work is being completed. We can’t wait to go back and explore the new building!
Weekly ONLINE ZOOM sessions
These weekly session take place ONLINE via zoom, except for the weeks where we meet face to face, and most school holidays. The workshops allow you to explore creative & contemporary dance in a relaxed, supported and enjoyable way. Challenging yourself physically and mentally whilst keeping your body safe. We combine improvisation and choreography, stretching your imagination with words, images and sounds.
