Clare Reynolds

Trained at Trinity-Laban Conservatoire for Dance, Clare graduated in Dance Theatre in 2004.

Her main practice has been deeply rooted in community dance work, engaging with a diverse range of people and communities including: prisons, hospitals, care settings and community/youth centres as well as gaining a wealth of experience in delivering dance in mainstream and special education.

In 2009 Clare co-founded Restoke, an interdisciplinary performance company based in Stoke-on-Trent.  Independently Clare’s  choreographic credits include ‘Força’: a dance commissioned for the Paralympics Lantern arrival in Staffordshire, which was also selected to be performed at Galeri Theatre in Caernarfon Wales and ‘Stoke100’: 100 dancers seeing in the arrival of the Olympic Torch in Stoke-on-Trent.

Clare completed a Masters Degree in Community and Participatory Arts at Staffordshire University focusing on the impact and value of site-specific performance. Her dance interests are in site-based performance, collaborating across art forms and more recently focusing on improvisation.
