Liz Nicholas trained as a musician and composer at Leeds College of Music and Huddersfield University, graduating with a BMus (Hons) before completing a Master of Research in New Music. Her research focused on engaging children in music-making by combining her Kodály training and New Music background.

Liz has also trained with TCM, specialising in vocal health and singing. With the wonders of Zoom, she has delivered sessions to children and adults of all ages, including participants from multiple countries.

Liz continues to enjoy learning new skills and has just finished her BSL Level 2 qualification.

Liz is particularly committed to supporting disabled children and adults to engage confidently in music. She enjoys finding creative and accessible ways for everyone to experience and participate in music in a way that works for them.

Outside of her professional work, Liz loves spending time outdoors and supporting her students by attending their performances and shows. She is excited to be involved with FRONTLINEdance and hopes that her professional background, combined with her lived experience of disability and caring responsibilities, will make a positive contribution to the organisation.
